Spiritually Situated

This Website is to Help You and Me…..

When you have a story to share, a writer might say that there is nothing more intimidating than a blank sheet of paper staring you in the face. Or, in my case, not only a blank sheet of paper but also a blank screen and an empty website. A website that is waiting to be built around my continuing story of spirituality and my daily journey of self-acceptance and spiritual integration.

The Complexity of 'My'

Before going any further, I'd just like to share that I'm not a huge fan of the word 'my' ! That's because, on the most basic level, the word 'my' feels like it holds so much ego. It feels greedy and self-absorbed. However, as you will soon come to find out, the word 'my'  is much more complicated than deserving the quick judgment of others. The word 'my' can just as easily reflect humility, authenticity, a move to embrace your truest self, and a deep-rooted need to help others along the way.

Inspiration for
the Spiritually Situated

It's my internal commitment to helping others that has inspired me to start this website, Spiritually Situated! If you are here and reading these words, "WELCOME! I'm so excited that you found us". This website is being designed to document the ebb and flow of my spiritual journey. I'm currently walking through this journey inspired, frustrated, curious, excited, overwhelmed, and just about every other emotion you can think of. I must admit that, while incredibly meaningful, this journey has not always been a pretty look for me.

Overcoming Obstacles

Over the past 2½ years, there have been a lot of tears, moments of disbelief, pushback against years of programming, emotional meltdowns, and questioning of my own physical limitations. However, I'm actively engaged, excited, and learning that I'm stronger than any of the hurdles I've faced. I've chosen my path, and I will show up committed every single day. I willingly accept challenges that require patience (not a skill I possess), faith, and the suspension of ego. I am learning to believe in myself, to trust in my guides and the universe, and to have faith in those things I cannot see. It's not always an easy path, but it is a beautiful path that is moving forward and unfolding exactly how it's supposed to.

A Shared Journey

I have chosen to document my amazing spiritual journey in hopes of helping you with yours! Always remember that while each journey is individual, you are never alone. You're supported! You are loved! Know that your personal spiritual journey is a testament to who you truly are. It's a testament to who you have always been. So, be excited to explore your path, your magic, and the mysteries that can be found (and answered) in the universal connection that surrounds you.

The Why of it…

My name is Michelle Milne, and I'm going through a spiritual awakening! It feels completely invigorating to write down those twelve words. I feel my energy shifting as I willingly step into the most authentic (and vulnerable) version of myself to share with the world. While I'm extremely excited to help others and to work toward the greatest and highest good of all, there is still that nagging voice of ego challenging my internal fears about how it will all be received. The voice of ego shouts, "You'll be judged," and "You know that once it's out there, you can't turn back." I will admit that my inner voice caused me to take pause as I worked through some unexpected anxiety. However, that hesitation didn't last long because there was an even louder voice (knowing and pushing) that said, "You're fine. You're ready. This is on your path. Now do it". On a human level, this is not an easy step for me to take, but on a spiritual level, it is a completely necessary step! Just ask my guides, because it is their voice, their knowing, and their push that have brought me to this point, and I trust them.
